Following instructions is an important part of our relationship with God. It demonstrates our love for God (“If ye love me, keep my commandments” – John 14:15) and continuously builds our trust in His ability to keep us.
We (the believer) receive instructions through the Word of God (bible), through revelation (what we hear directly from God), and also through our man of God. Hebrews 13:17 reads “Obey them that have rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable to you.” God’s order is to speak to a man who will speak to His people and we must set ourselves to obey the order of God.
In this teaching, Pastor Michael A. Freeman explains how our success (or failure) in accomplishing what we’ve been called to do is directly related to following instructions. This includes instructions we received from our man of God, who’s been given to us for “the perfecting of the saints, the work of the ministry, the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith.” (Ephesians 4:12-13). Failing to obey God’s instructions prevents us from having God’s best and we’ll never advance beyond the last failed instruction. Following God’s instructions will cause us to ‘Start Right’, ‘Stay Right’ and ‘Finish Right’!!!
